Wow, Ben! Quite a newsy post. Please don’t apologize for being so “wordy”–I’m here stateside anxiously awaiting every bit of news you and Bess can provide. Will go back and re-read it all at least once. Miss you both, but feel a bit better reading your assessment of the safety situation. Can’t wait to hear more about your house once you’re in and any acquisitions to make your life there more comfortable. Also interested in hearing about the area you’ll be living in, what’s available for recreation, etc., the food (what you eat out, what you eat in. will you have a cook for a while to help learn local cuisine). And I’m green with envy that Bess will have a maid–if I could find one (legally) for $50, Butch’s life would be much easier. So keep the news coming, and remember that two old folks (or substitute (f–ts) back here in CT miss and love you both to pieces. Hugs, kids. –Mom C
